ONE ATHLETE AT A TIME

Meet Coach: Rob Spence

Most quarterback coaches teach a position. Rob Spence develops a person.

Over 43 years on the sidelines, Coach Spence has never lost sight of the one thing that drives everything he does: the individual athlete standing in front of him.

That conviction is the foundation of QB7 Coaching.

More Than a Coach

Coach Spence holds a Master's degree in Education and has spent his career guided by a simple, unwavering conviction: every athlete is made in the image of God, and every athlete carries a potential worth developing fully.

His coaching philosophy is rooted in that belief. He presses toward the goal — "for the upward call" — and he invites every athlete he works with to do the same.

"Through it all, God has been faithful."

That is the foundation of QB7 Coaching. That is who Coach Spence is. And that is why, after four decades in the sport, he still shows up every day with the same purpose: to help one more athlete become who he was made to be.

What 43 Years Teaches You

Coach Spence has coached quarterbacks who have gone on to the NFL. He has recruited, evaluated, and placed athletes at every level of college football. He has sat in the biggest offensive staff rooms in the country, and he has built offenses from scratch at programs with far fewer resources.

What all of those experiences have produced is something no résumé can fully capture: the ability to see an athlete — not just his mechanics or his measurables, but his potential, his character, and the specific work required to unlock both.

That is what QB7 Coaching offers. Not a system. Not a one-size-fits-all program. A genuine investment in one athlete at a time.

Rob Spence is one of the most experienced offensive minds in football.

A native of Pelham, New York, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Iona College and later his Master's degree in Education — a credential that reflects what he has always believed: that coaching is, at its core, teaching.

His career spans virtually every level of the game. From Hofstra to Maryland, Toledo to Clemson, Syracuse to Georgetown — his career spans every level of the game and leaves a trail of improved offenses, conference honors, and NFL-bound quarterbacks at every stop. Need all the details? Review his Wikipedia page here.

His resume includes Power Five programs, HBCUs, and everything in between — a breadth of experience that reflects his core belief that elite development isn't reserved for elite programs. As an offensive coordinator at major programs including Clemson, Syracuse, and Louisiana Tech, he built a reputation for developing quarterbacks from the ground up and turning units into some of the most productive in the country.

Over 43 years, he has coached at virtually every level of college football — and the lessons from each stop are now poured into every athlete he trains.
